Apparently because my love for all things cute and furry is not shared with those to whom I am most intimate with, I have to start a blog dedicated to… animals-and by animals I really mean cats and dogs. My latest lifelong dream is to eventually live in a huge ass house with many cats and dogs. Does this make me some sort of animal hoarder or cat lady? Why yes it does. Am I ashamed of this? Fuck no. Cats and dogs are fucking cute and I am on a one woman campaign to inflict their cuteness on to anyone. You are Welcome.

Animals in the bed Tuesdays

Oi vey, oi vey!  My children have me at wits end.  First of all, Princess Sofia has started peeing in the house again.  However instead of just peeing on my bed, she peed on her bed and apparently has been sleeping in it for god knows how long.  Then in a most mysterious act, she peed right in front of boyfriend and me while we were petting her.  This act caused me much concern and I began to think maybe she was sick or something.   So I took her to see my dad and on the way there she started shaking like crazy.  I tried soothing her, but she would not stop.  More panic on my part.  When we saw my dad, I had her take a urine test to check for a UTI and everything came out fine.  Now I realize that the urine test was taken with human testing machine, but other than peeing on the bed in front of me, Sofia is not really exhibiting “strange” behavior.  Also, or rather unfortunately, Sofia has a reputation of being over dramatic so until I have more evidence of a problem I am not going to the vet.  One time, she caused me hundreds of dollars at the vet for x-rays and such only to find out that there was nothing physically wrong with her; she just doesn’t like to be picked up.  So for now I just have to deal with the peeing.

Irwin, as you may remember, is in the middle of a diet plan, in which he is not to happy.  Yesterday, I gave him slightly less than usual and he had a fit.  Every time I would go into the animal room Irwin would start crying and looking at his food bowl.  I tried to distract Irwin by putting him in a box, but he would have none of that.  He ended up giving me sassy looks for the rest of the evening.  This morning he came in for his usual grooming of my hair and spitting on me, however he started biting my head instead.  Not nice cute little love bits, but more like I-am-so-hungry-I’m-going-to-eat-you bits.  I had to hide under the blankets until he went away.  Even still, once I left a bit on forehead and hair out of the covers, he came running back to bit or rather try to eat me some more.  I finally gave up and fed him more food.  So here I am now, with two brats doing whatever they may please. Oi vey.

  1. hahahahaha the dog peeing everywhere story is utterly delightful. She is quite a drama queen isn't she, but she does make you notice her. But then again it is rather difficult to ignore someone when a pool of their urine is slowly enveloping your shoes.
